Campaign allows fans to submit personal messages of encouragement to U.S. Women’s National Team (USWNT)
Messages will be displayed across various USWNT environments in lead-up to and during major 2023 international soccer event
Herndon, VA — The U.S. Soccer Women’s National Team has launched its new #WeBelieve campaign, presented by Volkswagen, to gather personal messages from the fans to show the bond between the players on the field and those who will be cheering them on across the nation, and the world.

With Volkswagen’s help, fans can now submit their messages of support, thanks and encouragement for the USWNT before the team embarks on its journey to New Zealand and Australia to compete for the biggest prize in international soccer. Messages can be submitted online at ussoccer.com/webelieve, through the official U.S. Soccer App or via social media using the hashtag #WeBelieve.

“Volkswagen is excited to be part of the #WeBelieve campaign as the country unites behind the U.S. Women’s National Team on the world’s biggest stage,” said Rachael Zaluzec, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Customer Experience. “We hope these fan messages inspire the players as much as the team inspires our country, and we can’t wait to see them take the field in Australia and New Zealand.”

The fan messages will be displayed across various USWNT environments in the lead-up to and during the largest international soccer event of the summer, beginning with the team’s Send-Off match against Wales, presented by Visa, on July 9 in San Jose, Calif. Messages will be displayed in the player tunnel as well as other prominent areas throughout the venue including on video board extensions and environmental signage at Fan HQ.

“The fans are very much a part of what we do, and whether we are at home or playing in stadiums far away, I’ve always been impressed by the support the team receives,” said U.S. head coach Vlatko Andonovski. “We appreciate anyone taking the time to send a personal message. It means a lot as these players get ready for their journey.”

Fan messages will be featured across the USWNT’s digital channels during its matches against Vietnam (July 21, 9 p.m. ET), the Netherlands (July 26, 9 p.m. ET), and Portugal (Aug. 1, 3 a.m. ET), continuing the show of support as the USWNT competes for its fifth major international title. In addition to the launch of #WeBelieve, as of today fans can purchase the new 2023 USWNT Volkswagen pre-match top at the U.S. Soccer Store.

In 2022, Volkswagen of America, Inc. proudly signed a multi-year partnership extension with the U.S. Soccer Federation, maintaining Volkswagen as the presenting partner of U.S. Soccer including its Men’s and Women’s National Teams, Youth National Teams and Extended National Teams.
